I have been to many smaller and larger waterfalls but these top three famous waterfalls are well known for its beauty and size. Here is my review of Niagara, Victoria and Iguazu Falls. I also find it fascinating that most famous waterfalls in the world are located on the boarder between two countries. They probably could not decide which one will get them so decided to split the falls into half. Well that is not true, just my theory.
1. NIAGARA
Located on the boarder between Canada and USA. Can be viewed on a day trip from Toronto and NYC.
Niagara Falls are a group of 3 waterfalls and has the most amount of water flowing over why the falls are famous for. My honest opinion - worth visiting, however did not find waterfall very impressive, especially after visiting other famous waterfalls.
Free entrance fee
Day trip from Toronto £59
Day trip from New York City £203
Zipline over Niagara £50
Scenic Helicopter Ride £111
Boat cruise from £55
2. VICTORIA FALLS
Located on Zambezi River in Zimbabwe. Famous for the 'greatest sheet of water falling’. I found Victoria Falls more impressive than Niagara Falls and I was amazed by people bungee jumping on the nearby bridge, which is a famous activity to do there. Victoria Falls is not an easy one to reach. You will most likely have to fly into South Africa first and then hop on a short flight to Livingstone. From there you can either stay in Zambia or Zimbabwe as the falls is located on the boarder of both countries.
Entrance fee £25
3. IGUAZU FALLS
The most impressive of all. Also, one of the most impressive natural wonders I have seen in the world. It is simply breathtaking! Located on the boarder of Argentina and Brazil, approximately 1.5hr flight away from Buenos Aires. You can visit Iguazu falls in a day, but I would recommend spending a day in each side as the falls cover a huge territory. I personally found Brazilian side a bit more impressive, however that is not to say that Argentinian side was less worth it. As in my opinion it is one of the most beautiful natural wonders in the world it is worth spending an extra day there to immerse yourself in this beauty.
Argentinian side £25
Brazilian side £25
